I’m just going to jump in: Noël got an offer last spring to stop working. He was already considering going into pension next year but this was a nice surprise.

As of 1 October he will no longer be employed by Dow.

A year and a half ago we sold our house and rented back from the buyers planning for such a change.

October, November, and December will be months of training as we will embark on a very big adventure in January. We will store what possessions we have left and become nomads.

Our plan is to walk out of Ternuezen, the Netherlands on 2 January and walk all the way to Santiago de Compostela. It’s about 2500 kms/1500 miles. We are guessing it will take around four months but we are in no hurry.

The hardest part of going is not getting to see Lindsay, Mitchell and the pups as well as Eden, Tess and Max and the rest of the family.

This year will be an opportunity for us to determine where we want to land or even if we want to land.

For us the world is our home and we are looking forward to exploring it fully!!
