Day 9 Primitivo meets Frances ( Lugo to Melide by bus Melide to Arzua walking)

As pilgrims it is important to make decisions for your well being both physical and mental. We slowed down because our bodies are tired. I mean seriously we started in January walking nearly 3000 kms. And now have added almost another 1000. It’s okay to say “easy does it” for your physical well being. Also we started with a group of people and want to see them before everyone makes their way back home. So we bussed ahead.

Lugo is an amazing city and we will definitely come back and spend more time. We caught a bus from Lugo to Melide and started our walk today. We had such a great walk today. It rained just a little. And we saw two dogs walking the camino.

Look closely at the collar, it has a shell.

We arrived to Melide in time for restaurants to be closed until dinner. We found one though and had a nice early dinner, then did some errands and prepared for walking tomorrow. Because of accommodation issues we are staying two nights in Arzua. We will walk and then take a transport back to Arzua. It’s not ideal but also not unusual.

Hope you are well. Buen Camino.
